Today I want to talk to you about one of those moments that an independent brand holds especially dear. This is how we remember the appearance of our dear Álex O’Dogherty on the set of Pasapalabra, wearing one of our sustainable caps.
In a show where words take center stage, a single detail was enough to catch our eye: Álex O’Dogherty's cap. Among the buzzers, the audience, and the unmistakable set of Pasapalabra, there was our grey Original Series cap.
Alex is wearing a black t-shirt from his online store that reads: "Sponsor a freelancer" (Apadrina a un autónomo), and that is exactly what he did with us on Pasapalabra.
A casual look, a black t-shirt, his large rings, and a clean-lined cap: a personal outfit, easy to read, and full of character. The front embroidery remains visible, integrated into the style of the person wearing it.
For those of us behind Vanity Skulls, seeing a piece we designed in Valencia worn by Álex on one of the most-watched programs on Spanish television is a huge joy.
Who is Álex O’Dogherty
Actor and things like that
Born in San Fernando, Cádiz, in 1973, Álex O’Dogherty is an actor, comedian, and musician. Many viewers know him as Arturo Cañas in Camera Café or Alfredo Escobar "Caracolo" in Doctor Mateo, two characters that made him a familiar face on television, among others.
His career also includes cinema and theater, where he combines acting, comedy, and music. That ease of moving between disciplines helps to understand his artistic personality: restless, recognizable, and difficult to lock into a single label, which is why he refers to himself as: "an actor and things like that."
His current show
Palabras Mayores: comedy with its own rhythm.
Currently, Álex is on tour with Palabras Mayores, a show that combines comedy, music, and improvisation. As he presents it on his website, it is an agile and lively proposal where wordplay is mixed with his musical side and live spontaneity. It is an opportunity to discover on stage the same personality we recognize on television. The tour travels throughout Spain and has a fixed date every Saturday during the autumn at the great Teatro Capitol Gran Vía in Madrid; from here, we can only encourage you to go and enjoy it.

The master of ceremonies for The Hole.
Álex has also been an MC —master of ceremonies— in several The Hole shows, the most famous cabaret on the national scene, and he has also been a writer for several of them. A facet in which he brings together humor, performance, and audience engagement within the universe of cabaret and revue.

Pasapalabra
A melody, two shows, and an unexpected twist.
The moment was captured by Antena 3 on October 9, 2025. In La Pista, Álex faced Natalia Sánchez to identify a television theme song. His first guess was Growing Pains, but the correct answer was another eighties comedy: The Golden Girls.
The confusion was resolved when Roberto Leal gave the title in English. Natalia reacted faster with the buzzer and won the duel. A small television slip-up that left behind a perfect scene to watch again with a smile.
